The Testimony of a Changed Life
We refer to Every Believer a Witness as an Evangelism Training Revival. While the major focus is on motivating and training Sunday morning attendees to actively share their faith, many attendees do experience revival in their lives. This was true with Barbara Jones. I recently received the email below. I called her Pastor he said Barbara is still on fire for the Lord.
On June 28th, 2009, God did a great & mighty work in my life. I was living in sin, drinking every day, & the devil was having a heyday with my life. God opened up my eyes to the fact that I had family & friends that were going to hell & their blood was going to be on my hands. This is the 1st time that I have completely let God take control my life. I cannot get enough of hearing His word or singing His praises. I had quit singing in the choir or singing solos. I told myself that it was ok if I never sang again. Boy was that a lie from the devil. I am singing in the choir & singing solos again & it is such a special time of worship. When I sing solo’s I can feel it in my soul & it just blesses me more than I can express in words.
Before I was stingy with my money because I had not let God take control. Now when God impresses upon my heart a need, I will give whatever He leads me to share (sometimes this has been a struggle but I’ve always been blessed in the end). My husband is not saved & does not attend church with me. But every 2 weeks when I get paid, I give God my tithe & offerings of what He has blessed me with. My husband knows this & has never questioned me about it. God impressed on me back on that June 28th, that if I did not give my life back to Him, my husband would never be saved. I was saying one thing about my God & living another. My husband has become accustomed to having grace said over our food before we eat. No matter where we are, he will wait until we say the blessing before he starts eating. With the changes in my life, I can already see changes in him.
I am so grateful to what the Lord has allowed to happen in my life. He has given me another opportunity to serve Him when I did not deserve a 2nd chance. I am willing to give my testimony or sing anywhere He opens the door. I love to share what He has done for me. If God is calling you to serve Him, do not wait, it will be the greatest time of your life.
