Every Believer A Witness

Every evangelical Pastor has passionately, faithfully exhorted his people to witness, yet the majority still aren’t. Einstein defined “insanity” as doing the same things we’ve always been doing and expecting different results. If we continue to do evangelism motivation and training the same ways we’ve been doing, we’ll keep getting the same results we’ve been getting – and they are not good!
Every Believer a Witness addresses the 4 major reason most Christians aren’t sharing the Good News in a new way – with unheard of results.
1 |
Apathy
They don’t want to. |
As much as we have time, money and energy, we all do what we want to do. Every Believer a Witness begins in the Sunday morning worship service when the masses of unmotivated people are there. Not only that, but it uses new ways of motivating people in order to see 50% or more of the Sundaymorning attendees make a commitment to obey God in the matter of witnessing, ask God to give them a burden, a love, a concern for the lost people they know, AND come back Sunday evening. |
2 |
Ignorance
They don’t know how. |
Witnessing is not complicated, it doesn’t involve memorizing a lot of Bible verses – it’s so easy a child can do it, a senior adult can do it. It’s so easy a (saved) caveman can do it. Every Believer a Witness uses Sunday evening to show people what witnessing really is, show them how lost they were before Jesus, and then teach them how to write out their personal story. Then people who have NEVER spoken publicly in church stand and share their stories. Then everyone is asked to make a written commitment to share their story with ONE person before the Monday evening service. During the Tuesday evening service, people are taught HOW to turn secular conversations into spiritual conversations, as well as 2 other practical ways most believers can witness most days. |
3 |
Fear
They are afraid. |
We cannot simply tell our people not to be afraid. Most of them are going to be terrified of witnessing! We must teach them HOW to defeat fear. On Monday night, Every Believer a Witness teaches believers 7 Bible principles to overcome fear. Many people say this is the most helpful session of all. |
4 |
Powerlessness
They feel incapable. |
Witnessing is not intended by God to be a program or a strategy, but the overflow of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. On Wednesday evening, Every Believer a Witness teaches believers how to BE a witness. It concludes with a call for believers to confess their sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Almost always 90% plus of the people respond. |
But there is a 5th reason: Most Pastors are so overwhelmed with the demands and details of the ministry, they aren’t doing a lot of witnessing themselves. An integral part of having an Every Believer a Witness Evangelism Training Revival is having the Pastor and the entire ministerial staff (or leaders) meet two different days with the Trainer for instruction in modeling, mentoring and follow-up.
The Revival itself is always something between a home run and a grand slam home run. However, THE KEY is follow-up. The Every Believer a Witness Trainer will give the Pastor a simple 10 point Follow-Up Plan. Churches that implement the Follow-Up Plan are truly able to “create and maintain an on-going culture of witnessing and evangelism”. That is the goal of Every Believer a Witness.
